| VisionPlus Consultant Multiple positions available with a diversified global financial services company located in the Greater Toronto Area. Description • Convey strong client facing skills, and an acute understanding of consulting. • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, outside partners, and team members. • Responsible for analysis, technical design, development and architecture of small to medium scale projects • Provide technical support for the VisionPLUS credit card application system within the assigned modules • Resolve VisionPLUS production issues within the agreed SLA targets • Contribute to the guidance, support and motivation within the assigned team • Provide training, as required, to develop junior team members and transfer skills • Ensure compliance with First Data development methodologies and standards • Adhere to process compliance methodologies, such as, SOX, CMMI, ITIL • Maintain high quality in development and support tasks Requirements • 8+ years Mainframe experience, with at least 3–5 years current experience working on VisionPLUS application support / development • 3–5 years experience using VisionPLUS in the credit card market, including conversions to new processing platforms • Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) • Demonstrated skills in the VisionPLUS – FMS / FAS / Trams modules • Proficiency with IBM mainframe platform • Strong programming skills required using CICS, COBOL, DB2, SQL, JCL, IDCAMS, BMS, MVS • Detailed understanding of mainframe VSAM file structures • Knowledge of file transmission tools FTP, Connect Direct, and Cyber Fusion Design and Analysis • Familiar with scheduling tool CA-7 or Control-M • Knowledge of architecture/technology needs of the organisation, based on business priorities, strategies, goals, and economic viability • Highly developed organizational, analytical and problem solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail, including the ability to analyse data from different platforms in order to integrate the data into the VisionPLUS platform • Solid written and oral communication skills • Must possess strong interpersonal skills • Must be a team player, with the ability to work independently • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Assets • Familiarity with Endevor and Infoman an asset • Familiarity with SNA, Frame relay and TCP/IP an asset • Experience in leading, staffing and motivating an IT team an asset | |
