Database Architect We offer the opportunity to innovate and create business solutions using Microsoft Technologies: SOA Corporate Strategy, Business Process Reengineering, Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing, Web and Smart Client Applications. Job Specifications Maintain logical data models using ERWin and manage application of model changes to multiple database servers. Define database standards and guidelines and monitor compliance. Define and manage data architecture. Define and manage data security architecture. Manage data integrity. Define and manage SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services (OLAP) databases. Define and manage SQL Server 2000 & 2005 relational databases. Participates in the software development lifecycle in the role of Database Developer and Architect. Design and construct data warehousing and OLAP cubes for business intelligence systems using SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services technologies and Visual Studio 2005 BI Suite. Define and implement multidimensional dimension modeling (SSAS). Develop extract-transform-load (ETL) programs using SQL Server 2005 Integration Services technologies. Develop data replication solutions. Participate in testing, support and troubleshooting of databases. Develop front-end reports and views using SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services, Microsoft Office Excel, and Panorama Novaview tools and technologies. Provide consulting services to Database Administrators. Act as a secondary Production Database Administrator when required. Participate in Database Software upgrades and introduction of new technologies. Participate in corporate projects as assigned. Education University degree in computer science or a related field. MCDBA or MCSD industry certification or comparable work experience. Microsoft Business Intelligence industry certification or comparable work experience. Experience 5+ years experience using Microsoft SQL Server technologies. Experience with Microsoft and Kimball's Data Warehouse Toolkit is an asset. Experience in Business Intelligence tools (Panorama Nova View Suite) is an asset. Experience in SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services (SSRS) is an asset. Experience with Microsoft BI Suite implementations (SSAS, SSRS, Office 2007, Share Point 2007, Performance Point Server 2007) is an asset. Experience with Erwin version 7.0 to manage both Relational DBMS and OLAP Cubes is an asset. Experience administering Internet Information Services (IIS), SharePoint Server, Performance Point Server is an asset. Unique Skills Excellent analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Visio. Excellent communicator with both technical and non-technical staff. Data Architecture. Relational Data Modeling. Multidimensional Data and Dimensions Modeling. Conceptual and Physical Data Modeling using ERWin 4.x or later. Visual Studio 2005 Business Intelligence Studio.
